Church of Our Saviour is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Since shortly after its organization as a mission congregation of the United Lutheran Church in 1925, the parish has been located at the busy intersection of South Main and Ninth Streets, on the south edge of downtown Fond du Lac. The parish of approximately 350 baptized members is served by a full-time pastor, along with music, office and custodial staff. Further ministry support is provided by a variety of lay ministries such as the Befrienders and bereavement counselors.
With roots in the area's strong German and Scandinavian traditions, Church of Our Saviour has earned a reputation for community involvement that includes generous sharing of facilities, and participation in many community endeavors past and present, such as the Fondy Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes, Fond du Lac Ministerial Association and Church Women United.
